Where required, a patch test will be performed. Anita will then recommend the appropriate treatment method and estimated number of sessions.

Protective eyewear is provided before controlled laser energy is delivered to the selected area.

Recovery and Review
Temporary redness, warmth, swelling or sensitivity may occur. Depending on the treatment intensity, the skin may also become dry, darker, crusted or lightly scabbed while healing.

Can laser treatment remove my scar completely?
No treatment can guarantee complete scar removal. Laser therapy aims to improve the scar’s colour, texture or overall visibility.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on the scar’s type, age, size and depth, as well as your skin’s response. Most treatment plans require multiple sessions, but Anita will advise you following assessment.
Can new scars be treated?
Scar tissue changes as it heals. Anita will assess whether the scar is ready for cosmetic laser treatment or whether more healing time or medical advice is required.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime depends on the laser and treatment intensity. Temporary redness, swelling, warmth, sensitivity, crusting or changes in pigmentation may occur.
